Clicker Simulator: Build a Tech Empire From One Phone

A plain clicker is about one thing: a number going up. A clicker simulator wraps that number in a world. Your clicks build something you can see, manage and grow, whether that’s a bakery, a factory or a business empire.

Spacebar Clicker is a clicker simulator about building a tech office. You start with an old phone and a space bar, and end up running rooms full of gaming PCs, server racks and crypto mining rigs. This post covers what makes a clicker a simulator, and how each part of that tech office works.

Clicker vs clicker simulator

Every clicker shares the same core: click to earn, spend to earn faster. What a simulator adds is a theme that actually shapes the game:

  • Things you own, not just numbers. Your income comes from specific objects you can see and manage.
  • Parts that match the theme. Upgrades are named and drawn like the real thing, so the progression makes sense even before you read the numbers.
  • Space to organize. You decide where things go and how your empire is laid out.
  • Growth you can see. The world on screen changes as you get richer.

The clicking is still the heart of it. The simulation is what makes it feel like you’re building something.

Your office, one device at a time

In Spacebar Clicker, everything you earn comes from devices placed in your office. There are five of them, and each one is a step up:

Device Price What it’s like
Phone Free first, then $750+ Your starting device. Simple, cheap to upgrade.
Laptop $4,000 Built for clicking. Great for active players.
PC $23,000 Ten parts to upgrade, strong automatic income.
Server $23,000,000 Unlocks after 3 PCs. Serious passive income.
Miner $1,275,000,000 Unlocks after 3 servers and a Mining license.

Each extra device of the same type costs 1.5 times as much as the last, so you’ll always be weighing a new device against upgrading the ones you have. Our full guide to every device covers each one in detail.

Real hardware, from budget to dream build

This is where the simulator side really shows. Every part in Spacebar Clicker is a recognizable piece of hardware, and as you level it, its name changes to match a better model.

A PC’s GPU starts as an RX 6600, then moves through an RTX 3070, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4090 before reaching futuristic hardware at the top. Its CPU climbs from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Core i9 and a Threadripper. Its case goes from a Midi Tower to a Liquid-Cooled Case to a Quantum Chassis. Each part has ten names spread across its levels, so upgrading feels like actually building out a rig.

The upgrades window for a PC in Spacebar Clicker, showing a level 32 Extreme Airflow X case, a level 30 ASUS ProArt Z890 motherboard and a level 28 Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU A PC mid-build: an Extreme Airflow X case, an ASUS ProArt Z890 board and a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, each with its own level.

A PC has ten parts: case, motherboard, CPU, GPU, storage, RAM, power supply, monitor, mouse and keyboard, plus an operating system on its own tab. Servers have their own set (chassis, ECC RAM, RAID controller, network card and more), and mining rigs have frames, mining boards and cooling.

Watch your devices evolve

Names are one thing, but you can also see the progress. Every part has ten art stages, and its picture changes as it climbs through its levels. A brick-like phone with an antenna becomes a sleek smartphone, then a glowing holo phone. A plain black PC tower turns into a glass case full of RGB fans.

Ten art stages each for a PC case, laptop, phone and Miner in Spacebar Clicker, each row going from a basic model to a high-end one Each device goes through ten looks as you upgrade it, from budget gear to dream hardware.

It’s a small touch, but it makes a big difference. Your office at hour ten looks nothing like your office at minute one, and you can tell at a glance which devices you’ve been pouring money into.

Rooms: lay out your empire

Every device needs a slot, and slots live in rooms. Each room is a 3 by 3 grid, so it holds up to nine devices. When one fills up, you can buy another, up to nine rooms in total, from $55 million for the second room to $5 trillion for the most expensive one. Rooms can be bought in any order, and you can rename each one.

Naming your rooms is where a lot of players start telling a story: the garage where it all began, the server room, the mining hall. The rooms overview shows a mini map of each one, so you can see where your empire is strong and where there’s space to grow.

Mining rigs: a simulation inside the simulation

The newest device takes the simulator idea even further. A Miner isn’t just a box with parts. It’s a rig with card slots you fill yourself.

  • Pick a rig type. Your first card decides whether it’s a GPU rig or a CPU rig.
  • Open more slots. Leveling the Rig Frame opens up to 8 GPU slots or 12 CPU slots.
  • Keep cards in sync. When all your cards climb together, they earn a bonus.
  • Hope for a crit. Each production cycle has a chance to pay out extra: 3% for x1.5 on a GPU rig, 8% for x2 on a CPU rig.

It’s a mini building game inside the bigger one, and it arrives at exactly the point where you might start feeling like you’ve seen everything.

Managing your tech office

Like any good simulator, Spacebar Clicker leaves the big decisions to you:

  • Click or automate? For most upgrade levels you choose whether the bonus goes into your clicks or into automatic income.
  • Faster or richer? Some parts, like coolers and power supplies, can also speed up a device’s production cycle.
  • Expand or improve? Buying a new device or room competes with leveling what you already own.
  • Rebuild? You can sell a part or a whole device to get back 70% of what you spent and put that money somewhere better.

And because it’s an idle game, your office keeps running while you’re away. Your devices earn on their own for up to 24 hours, so you come back to a pile of money and a new round of decisions.

How a typical run unfolds

To give you a feel for the pace, here’s roughly how an office grows:

  1. The garage phase. You start with one free phone earning $1 per press. A few upgrades and a second phone later, you’re saving for your first laptop.
  2. The workstation phase. Laptops make your clicks much stronger, and your first PC brings in real automatic income. You start filling the rest of your first room.
  3. The data center phase. Three PCs unlock servers. Each one costs millions, but a well-upgraded server out-earns your whole early office. This is usually when you buy and name your second room.
  4. The mining phase. Three servers and a Mining license open up the Miner. Now you’re choosing between GPU and CPU rigs, opening card slots and chasing crits.

Each phase changes how the game feels, not just how big the numbers are. That’s the clearest sign of a good clicker simulator: the world keeps changing as you grow.
